What to ask about before buying in Wilson County
- •Water and wastewater: is the home on a public water system or a well, and is it on city sewer or a septic system?
- •Property taxes: what are the current rates, which exemptions apply (homestead, and disabled veteran if you qualify), and what could change after a sale?
- •Land: if there are acres involved, ask about the survey, easements, mineral rights, and whether the land has agricultural valuation.
- •HOA or deed restrictions: what the rules and fees are, and whether the community is new construction with a builder process.
- •Your commute: how long it takes to your base or workplace at the hours you'll actually drive.
